Gamifying cultural heritage through Linked Open Data

Abstract

This project was made as the final result of the Laboratory held by Prof. Francesa Tomassi @University of Bologna, MA "DHDK". The laboratory was organized in a cycle of practical activities related to the DH domain, in order to enhance skills and competences in managing cultural data by mixing and merging tools, tecniques and applications.

The topics dealt with during this project were related to:
  • modelling with Unreal Engine
  • designing virtual environments with Blender
  • tools and tecniques for digital storytelling and electronic publishing
  • principles of project management experiences and practices in DH domain.
My project focused specificly upon 3D modelling with Unreal Enginer and Blender with story-telling through gamification. The Duration of the lab only allowed for a quicky prototype to get some hands on experiences. The details of the project can be found in the presentation linked below.
